Without normalization, data cannot be directly compared between antibody arrays due to the possibility of small differences in preparation or processing. This video demonstrates how min-max normalization can be used to calibrate arrays to each other for direct comparison. It also demonstrates using normalization to more easily explore covariance between different array spots.
