QuickSpots, OptimEyes Developer Upgraded to Version 25.5.2.3
QuickSpots and OptimEyes Developer have been updated to version 25.5.2.3. Installers for the new versions may be downloaded from their respective product pages. The new versions are compatible with Activation Codes for previous versions purchased from Ideal Eyes Systems.
In both products, a bug was fixed that caused a crash when renaming or changing the zoom level of an image loaded from a file with a filename longer than around 60 characters.
The Thresholding Tool in OptimEyes Developer was updated to add support for adaptive thresholding. This is useful to enable thresholding of images that are unevenly lit or where, for any other reason, the features you desire to identify are darker or lighter than their surroundings, but the brightness levels of individual objects or regions of the image vary.
Depending on image size and adaptive radius, adaptive thresholding can be significantly slower than thresholding based on a single brightness value or multiple brightness ranges, so the other methods are generally preferrable in cases where you are able ensure that your images are consistently lit. However, in less optimal conditions, adaptive thresholding enables significantly simpler object location algorithms than are possible otherwise.
