Optimize Developer Minor Update
Dec 5, 2025 | OptimEyes Developer
A new version of OptimEyes Developer (25.6.8.1) is now available with the following changes:
- The Binary Morphology, Filter, and Transform Tools can now have their input and output image names specified using VES String script variables rather than requiring them to be statically specified. To use a VES String variable, set the value of the variable to the image name, and then enter the name of the variable, preceded by a percent symbol (%) in the image field.
- The Arithmetic, Binary Morphology, Filter, and Transform Tools have been fixed to correctly use a user-typed name for their output images. A bug in previous versions resulted in the output image being named "Output" if a name was typed rather than being selected from a list of existing images.
- The Arithmetic, Binary Morphology, and Change Tools have been fixed to correctly display error messages if their operations fail.
- Legacy support for image instance numbers was removed from the Binary Morphology, Blob Analysis, Change, Filter, Image List, Pixel Analysis, and Threshold Tools. Instance numbers were used in the past to differentiate between images with identical names. This feature was removed long before Ideal Eyes Systems took over development of the software due to the confusion it caused for users, and because naming collisions were more understandably handled in other ways. But for some reason, some of the Tools had continued to display instance numbers, which were always "0".
- A hidden option that unexpectedly affected resizing of images that had been position using the Display function in the Scripting Tool was removed.
- Cosmetic improvements were made to several Tools.
